What age groups do you serve?

We serve children as early as newborn to 12 years of age, providing tailored programs that support their growth and development at every stage.

What are the child care timings?

Most of our licensed home child care locations operate from
7.00am to 6.00pm, however, parents are able to select their pick up and drop off time based on their needs.

Do you offer evening or weekend care?

Yes, many of our locations offer extended hours such as before & after school, evenings, overnights, and weekend care. Inquire with us to see if there are spots available!

How soon can we start?

Learning Happens has relatively short waitlists compared to other agencies because we are constantly growing and opening new, quality child care locations. You can start as early as
the next business day or in a few weeks.

What sets your child care apart?

We are a one stop shop for safe, flexible, high-quality home child care that blends the warmth of home-based care with the oversight of a licensed agency. All providers are screened and trained in first aid, CPR, and emergency procedures. Our home consultants visit monthly to ensure homes meet Ministry standards, and families can choose care during evenings, weekends, or overnight. This level of support and reliability is hard to find anywhere else.

What is your child to educator ratio?

Each licensed home child care provider can have a maximum of 6 children at a time (or 5 in certain regions due to by-laws). According to the Ministry’s guidelines, we can only have a maximum of 3 children under the age of 2.

What makes your child care unique?

Learning Happens combines the comfort of a home setting with the quality and oversight of a licensed child care agency. Every provider is trained and supported to meet Ministry standards, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. We also offer flexible care options — including evenings, weekends, and overnight — to support families with busy schedules.

Is there a registration fee?

No, we do not charge a registration fee. However, we kindly ask families to be mindful when accepting a child care spot, as our licensed home child care providers reserve spaces for confirmed families. If your needs change, we appreciate open communication so we can support both you and other families looking for care.
